NPI - Payers
Emdeon Business Services forwards the NPI on claims to all payers unless the payer has notified Emdeon that they are not yet ready to receive the NPI.
Emdeon fully supports NPI in ERA transactions and also requires payers to continue to include the payee Tax ID when NPI is present.
For real time Emdeon fully supports NPI in the real time transaction set (eligibility, claim status, and referrals).
